Teresita Fernández: Elemental at Phoenix Art Museum: A Virtual Tour
21st Century Society members are invited to the premiere screening of Teresita Fernández: Elemental at Phoenix Art Museum: A Virtual Tour, produced and presented by the Museum’s 21st Century Society Event Committee. This complimentary event will be hosted over Zoom on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 5 – 6 pm.
Teresita Fernández: Elemental was the first major traveling exhibition and the first mid-career survey of works by contemporary artist Teresita Fernández, considered one of the most innovative artists of her generation. Co-organized by Phoenix Art Museum and Pérez Art Museum Miami, the retrospective, which closed in January, showcased more than 50 large-scale sculptures, installations, and mixed-media wall works that reinterpret the relationships between nature, history, and identity.
Relive the evocative exhibition’s presentation at Phoenix Art Museum with a virtual tour led by Gilbert Vicario, the Museum’s Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs and the Selig Family Chief Curator. Tim Rodgers, PhD, the Museum’s Sybil Harrington Director and CEO, will also participate, alongside members of the Museum’s Board of Trustees and Museum leadership. This special presentation is presented to our 21st Century Society members in gratitude for your continued generosity and support.
RSVP by registering for a complimentary ticket today. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to access the event.
