While our initial plan was to re-open Phoenix Art Museum this summer, we have decided to postpone our re-opening until the early fall, a step we feel is necessary to keep our visitors and staff safe due to the spread of COVID-19 in Maricopa County.
Currently, we anticipate re-opening to Members on October 1 and to the general public on October 14. Due to
the uncertain nature of the pandemic, this opening date will be subject to change based on recommended safety measures in the coming months.
When we re-open our doors to you in October, we will have implemented new health and safety precautions designed to help keep you as safe as possible during your visit. These updated policies will be shared with our community as we draw closer to our anticipated fall re-opening.
We will also welcome you back with a number of new, vibrant installations and exhibitions, including Stories of Abstraction: Contemporary Latin American Art in the Global Context, featuring an array of Latin American abstract art, and Teresita Fernandez: Elemental, a dynamic mid-career survey of the artist's immersive sculptural and installation works. We are additionally pleased to report that we'll be extending exhibitions you may not have had the chance to experience prior to our closure, including Ansel Adams: Performing the Print and India: Fashion's Muse. All of this and more will be ready for you when you return to your Phoenix Art Museum this fall.
