Because we love and care for our visitors, our Members, our volunteers, and staff, we believe our first responsibility is to keep our community safe and help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 to those most vulnerable among us. Thus, we have made the decision to temporarily close our galleries, retail space, the Lemon Art Research Library, and other physical spaces at Phoenix Art Museum to all visitors through April 6. At this time, the Museum’s restaurant, Palette, which is independently operated by Santa Barbara Catering Company, is evaluating a plan for reduced or limited hours.
We Will Bring Our Collection to You
Although our physical doors will temporarily close, we will commence new efforts to open our virtual doors more widely. In the next few days, we will begin to significantly increase our digital content across all of our available platforms so you can continue to experience the Museum you love. We commit to bringing daily and weekly doses of art that will increase access to our collections in a virtual space. We will also introduce new ways to experience free online gallery talks, lectures, and even virtual tours of the galleries, so that you and your families will have new and meaningful ways to enjoy art.
Be gentle with each other. Be kind to yourself. Take heart: art is never closed. We will be here for you, always.
